This is Erika’s Story… A couple years after having her son she noticed that her breasts had lost volume and began to droop. This video is a documentary of her experience having cosmetic surgery to rejuvenate her breasts and regain her pre-pregnancy figure. The procedure was performed by Dr. David E. Kim of Beverly Hills Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Time, gravity, life and babies can take their toll on women’s bodies. The advancements and popularity of cosmetic surgery has resulted in the term “Mommy Makeover” to become the new buzzword. A Mommy Makeover consists of an assortment of body contouring and enhancement procedures that vary from surgeon to surgeon. Common are tummy tucks, liposuction, breast enhancement and full body lifts.
While all of these are excellent procedures and provide great results, we have found that the loss of volume in the breasts is the primary area of concern for women. Other areas of the body affected by pregnancy are worn as a “badge of honor”.

In most cases drooping breasts cannot be corrected with implants alone. The end result would be a bigger breast that sags even more due to it’s increased size. Mastopexy is the medical name for breast lift surgery. It incorporates excision of excess skin and resuturing the remaining skin and tissue to literally lift the breast back up and give it a more youthful appearance.
In some cases, the areola becomes enlarged over time, and a breast lift will reduce this as well.
Depending on your unique situation, small breasts that do not droop, small breasts that droop and have loose skin, good volume but the breasts droop, large breast volume with drooping breasts, we will customize your procedure providing you with a lift that achieves your goals and minimizes scaring. The general rule of thumb is the less lift, the less scarring and the more lift, the more scarring.
The best candidates for mastopexy are healthy, emotionally-stable women who are realistic about what the surgery can accomplish. The best results are usually achieved in women with small, sagging breasts. Breasts of any size can be lifted, but the results may not last as long in heavy breasts.
